We have all been stuck in quarantine with our families for a few weeks now. I bet you’re wondering how much more you can take. It’s boring, and there arent many inside activities you can do. The kids are always hungry, and I know I never want to get out of bed!
I’m an assistant manager for a movie theater and have been very bummed out about being laid of due to this whole virus thing we call Covid-19. I have truly missed making experiences memorable for our guests. I’ve even missed seeing smiling faces, and just interacting with humans! So how did I come up with a way to cope??
I invited the kids to the movie theater! The Martinez Theater to be exact. I found some pretend tickets from a seller on Etsy. I customized and used those to invite the kids!

I also found some concession tickets to print off. These had to be earned throughout the day by doing simple chores in the house. I have never seen the kids clean so fast! (Maybe I should do this more often!)

I set up my own concession stand with movie theater food and charged one concession ticket per item. Popcorn was free, because why not? That’s an important staple for any movie goer!

We set up a comfortable space in our bedroom and watched Dolittle! It was a spectacular night and I hope to do it again!
